As writers, we often discuss how to incorporate feedback into our work. But how do we GIVE helpful feedback, to one another and (if teaching) to our students? We will discuss how to give feedback that encourages forward momentum, prioritizes author’s intentions over reader's preference, and breaks the story open without breaking it apart. We will present our best practices for different feedback contexts (writing group, classroom, editorial) and reflect together on new strategies.
